These are the ones the bash manpage mentions:

    ~/.bashrc ~/.bash_profile /etc/profile

I've also seen ~/.profile used, but perhaps bash had been modified.

As someone else mentioned, the bash manual is available in .dvi format
on tsx-11.mit.edu and banjo.concert.net, as bash-man.dvi.tar.Z.
I can't find the manpage that someone else mentioned comes with MCC,
so maybe it doesn't come with MCC-Interim 0.96c. I do have a
manpage that came with the bash source I installed under SunOS, if
anyone wants me to e-mail it to them.
