This problem *might* occur if it is not syncing properly. Increase the
horizontal sync width by 16 or 24 and retry. You might also increase the
vertical sync by 3 to 5 ticks. If that doesn't work, it is more likely
that this particular monitor is partially broken (i.e. can't handle
high bandwidths properly).
