From: bg11+@andrew.cmu.edu (Brian E. Gallew) Subject: XLoadImage Date: 22 Jul 1992 09:37:34 GMT
I just compiled and uploaded XLoadImage to banjo.concert.net in
/pub/Linux/X11/Incoming/xloadimage.T.Z. This file is both tarred and
compressed, and contains all of the sources, a Makefile, 2 README's,
and a .a. The only problem I have enocuntered so far with it is that
the -fullscreen option uses *huge* amounts of storage, and will
quietly die if it runs out. Also, you may want to edit the file
/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/XLoadImage to point to the correct public
image directories.
I hope this is the correct way to upload files (posting an
announcement to the net and cc'ing it to abc@concert.net). I looked
through the last 3000 subject lines and couldn't find anything
appropriate, and it was not mentioned as being part of the FAQ in the
FAQ summary.
Alan: Could the greets in the /pub/Linux/[,X11]/Incoming directories
mention how uploads should be handled? Currently, the greet in
Linux/Incoming only says to contact you if there is a problem, and the
other one fails to mention you at all!
Shouldn't this be FAQ?
