From: gg@jet.uk (Gordon Grant) Subject: GDB 4.6 where is reg.h ? Date: 21 Jul 1992 12:49:20 GMT
Hello
I have recently installed the MCC-interim package including gcc.
I noticed the release of gdb4.6 now supports linux and decided to to
give gcc a workout. The installation of gdb looked easy so after
the command 'configure linux' which gave no errors. (the linux support
looks good !). I let rip with 'make'
This failed on the file bfd/trad-core.c with cannot find <machine/reg.h>
I commented this out to let make proceed but it failed again in
gdb/i386-xdep.c but this time the file was <sys/reg.h>.
a grep though the distribution kit also found "vx-share/reg.h" in
gdb/remote-vx.c:
Questions:
Which package should supply reg.h (linux, gcc or gdb) ?
where should it reside <machine/ > (i don't have one of those),
<sys/ >, elsewhere or both ?
Where can I get a copy ?
