Subject: Two Hard drives?

Ok. I've got linux runing from the boot and root image floppies and am collecting to various things neccessary to make me feel like a 'manly' linux user. Just kidding but I am collecting gcc 2.2.2, X386, mtools. etc... I want all of this before I install on to my hard disk. What I have is a gateway 200 486/33 eisa with a 32 bit scsi controller. Rather than switching the controller to 16 bit mode and repartitioning the drive I am installing or want to install a 150 meg or so IDE hard drive. Can I set my com

puter to begin the boot off of the dos drive (C:)then if I select linux it will switch to the linux IDE drive (E:). I have the scsi configure for two partitions as one is for my bbs download files only. Is this possible? Let me know if the "bootlace" program I hear about will work for this or if I am barking up the wrong tree. Oh yes will my diamong speedstar plus work with X? I decided not to get the ATI Ultra.
