It was not received as a flame by me, I just seem to either not be able
to make the instructions work or have a dir/structure problem. For some
of the past releases someone has sent out a list of what "THEY" had on
their system (ls -lr * type list) and it helped me a bunch.

I am having problems there as well. As I have had a few folks that
wanted just the files to have Linux and GCC and was requesting a list to
download.
So I decided to backup my Linux 0.96a and reformat and repart the HD and
see just what was needed to setup that system.
The INSTALL script on the ROOT096C image was GREAT!
The relnotes with all the GCC222 files I have led me into loops and
confussion, as following them, in order trashed my system.
After someone sent me netmail with a list of what they installed and
what they ignored, I was able to get the GCC installed but not make a
Image! No 'make' program. I found one on my 0.12 backup set, and it
seems to work with the exception that the makefile will not put the
Major and Minor in the Image.
Now I am looking for the 'patch' program, did not find it on my 0.12 or
0.95 or 0.96 related files....
If the GCC package had in 'INSTALL' like the ROOT096C image, I am sure
Linux/GCC would find more users that would use the set. Heck just a
accurate list of what goes where would be great! (the install in the
GCC works, but with lots of dought hanging over your head while it does
it's thing).
Please consider the above as constructive criticism!
