Subject: *splat* Where did this serial tree come from?

Does anyone have any suggestions about what could have caused my #1 serial
port to start dropping characters, even though my #2 port works just fine?

Could this be an interrupt latency? (386/25Mhz, 2400MNP modem, running
around 9600), while my 1200 baud mouse runs very well under /dev/ttys2.

*grrrr* I actually have to boot into DOS (uck) to talk on the modem, and a
horrible experience it is....;)

Well, wish me luck. Ta all.
