This is one of those neat things I'd like to see added to the stock
Linux kernel as a compile-time option. I wonder if it is possible to
implement dynamic video mode setting at boot time? Even if it was
a patch to the binary, like setting the root device on a floppy boot
image.
I'm not expecting this to be implemented very soon, though, as this is
more of a luxury at this stage of development. :-)
