I have fixed the text restoration problem that my -m486 compiled X386
had, they where caused by gnu make ignoring a line containing

STDDEFINES += GOOD_ET4000
the correct line (for gnu make is)
STDDEFINES := GOOD_ET4000

I have put a coorect binary on ftp.robots.ox.ac.uk, in the new directory of
/pub/linux/486/
with a -m486 xterm aswell.

If you missed by original post, this X server is the same as the x11v1.1
release, but optimised for use on 486 machines. In use it does feel faster,
but how much is wishful thinking I don't know :-)
