Subject: VESA screwed up in 0.96c.pl1

I have a Trident 8900C card with VESA bios v1.02. When using linux 0.96c.pl1
it detects that I have a VESA capable bios and gives a list of text modes
that i can select. Its just that it gives some extremely weird text mode
choices.. i.e.

Choice 0 is ok. that gives 80x25 text
Choice 1 is ok. that gives 80x50 text
        Choice 2 onwards gives things like 21x05, 16x00, 00x03

The VESA extension doesn't allow me to select the old SVGA modes that were
available.
