Well, first things first. Has xdm been ported to Linux yet? I figure
when that gets done you should be able to have it pop up upon booting
and present the login window. Of course, you have to put the command
to start up the X server somewhere like your rc.local file (Would this
be the appropriate place?). Then modify the system xinitrc to start up
xdm. I haven't tried it yet, but I probably will when I get my motherboard
upgrade this week.
