I have finally decided to jump on the linux bandwagon. I would like to put
together a 33Mhz 486 system with an emphasis on high performance graphics and
disk i/o.
Should I go with a local bus board? Does it make a difference for linux?
What is the fastest hard disk? SCSI? Which controller should I get that works
well with linux.
How about the graphics controller (1024 x 760)? Which ones work fastest?
Finally, which mouse is easiest to set up. I'm not a real unix hacker ... yet.
