with all due respect to your work, I didn't ask whether you'd *tried* to
fix all known bugs, I asked if they were indeed fixed with respect to
using C-news in particular.
GCC has a long history of being a developing (and sometimes flaky) compiler
trying to hit a sometimes moving target. I wanted to know if it's
fixed from a real-user perspective (because it sure looks good to be
in testing news locally on my system).
With respect to understanding the test codes, sorry...I'm satisfied to
take your word that you fixed all the problems you heard about to the
best of your knowledge.
I'm having enough fun trying to use gcc to put the pieces together.

right, I did *not* use their stdio speedups...
C-news is stable enough on enough platforms (including the Apollos-from-hell
I run at work) that I'd trust C-news over Gcc in terms of stability...
