Subject: Unresolved reference to 'init_IRQ' compiling kernel

I obtained the new patch to 0.96c yesterday, took it home, applied
it and tried to remake. The build failed at the linking stage
complaining about an unresolved reference to a function
'init_IRQ'. This function is called in main.c but I can't
find any definition for it. Any suggestions?
