That's odd. It works fine for me. My /etc/mtools looks like
this:
A /dev/PS0
C /dev/hda1 12
and it seems to work fine as it has from .96b (when I started all of this)
on up through .96c.

If you post the exact error, we'll have a better chance at
helping you. Right now, it's guessing in the dark ;-).
