Your quotes imply sarcasm. I do not blame H.J. for flaming you.

Your problem most likely is that you have the wrong cpp. Did you get
2.2.2db.tar.Z? If you did not, then you are using some older cpp
which does not search /usr/lib/gcc-lib/linux-i386/2.2.2/include.
