Subject: mount problem

It seems I can't mount.
When I installed Linux everything went fine. I mounted a partition from
hd and moved rootimage to it and I could boot with it.
If I try to mount another hd partition or floppy I get only
'mount: error 2.' (Yes, I used mkfs and mknod before I tried mount)
Any ideas what went wrong?
