Subject: URGENT: inability to login using dialin line...

Hi...

        finally got the modem to answer the phone (hurray!!)
and then I hit a problem with logging in on that dialin line
(*sigh*)

        Someone suggested I needed the login program from the
poeigl.tar.Z distribution, so I tried it...guess what...doesn't
work. I'm presuming that that logi doesn't use shadow passwd's,
whereas my system does...and I can't seem to find any flags in
the include files that allow me to turn on shadow passwds :(

        Anyone have another idea as to how I can do this? It
does answer, it does prompt for login: and for passwd: but that
is as far as it gets :(
