It sounds like a good idea to me, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of
people could assemble one. Are you thinking of designing this thing, having
the PC boards made and selling them with instructions? Would the components
be things something could buy at an electronics parts store? If so how much
would it cost?

BTW, If this is the way you plan to do this, make sure you say something
about not being responsible if people blow up their computer.
