Subject: character loss...max throughput?
Date: 30 Dec 1992 01:11:48 GMT

Hi...

What is the maximum throughput for a serial port on
Linux? I thought I had read that it is up to 115k...but I seem
to be getting character loss if I try 9600 :(

I'm using kermit between two computers, one running Linux, and
the other running a commercial variant, that are directly connected
and sitting beside each other. The port that I have the line connected
to on the ISC side is the same one, configured the same way, as when I
had a normal DOS running PC connected to it set at 38400.

        Help?

Thanks...

Marc
