GCC loves RAM ,with only 2 meg it's too busy swapping to compile much
try putting at least another 2 meg in ,that should speed things up
I think the current record for compiling the kernel in 2 meg of ram
is about 16 hours , my 386sx25 with 10 mb does it in 50 mins and the
people with 486dx33's and 8 meg do it in about 12/15 mins
