  I get this the odd time as well, but its usually signal 11, I have had it
since SLS 098p1, and someone mentioned ages ago that it might be my gcc, but
it dosen't happen as often now, but it was annoying. I'm using 4.2 as well,
and still occasionally get sig 11 fatals.
