From: canver@mordor.informatik.uni-ulm.de (Ercument Canver) Subject: Wild interrupt? Date: 28 Dec 1992 10:58:08 GMT
I just compiled the .99p1 kernel and installed it on the hard disk.
I am booting with LILO-0.7.
Right at bootup I get a message saying
...
Wild interrupt? (IRQ 1)
ttys0 at 0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16450
ttys1 at 0x02f8 (irq = 3) is a 16450
...
As a result of this, the mouse attached to /dev/ttys0 isn't handled properly.
However, it works just fine with the boot floppy (.98p5) made by the SLS
installation procedure; this one also doesn't report the "Wild interrupt".
Is there a bug in .99p1 or am I doing something wrong when I compile the kernel?
Thanx for your help.
Cheers,
E.Canver
