Subject: SLS Boot problem

Hi,

I have problems installing the SLS 0.99 release ... I installed the base
system only. Then it created a boot floppy. Now it refuses to boot from the
floppy ... It starts the boot then the screen goes to 80x50 or something.
It keeps going ... looks for and does not find any scsi devices (good - I do
not have any ! ) ... checks out the memory (all 16MB of it) ... finds the
floppy drives ... then :

        sock_init : initializing family 1 (AF_UNIX)
        sock_init : initializing family 2 (AF_INET)
        loopback device init
        wd8013

and here it hangs ....

My system is as follows:
        386/40 DX w/64k cache
        16MB RAM
        1de 213MB Caviar HD
        1.44MB (A:) and (1.2MB) B: floppy drives
        an 8 bit WD8003 card
        9600 baud internal modem
        et4000 based card w/1MB
        logitech "first Mouse"

I would really appreciate it if somewone would help me out here.
I would eventually like to test out the tcp/ip stuff for LINUX too.

I would suspect that the ethernet card is a problem but ....
any suggestions?
(I believe that this sort of a problem has occurred before .. but
I cannot readily recall where and to who ...)

Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
