Does anybody know whether LINUX supports an ATBUS harddisk together with
an ADAPTEC 1542 B and a SYQUEST for example.
I have setup MS-DOS 5.0 at the PC and I need the ADAPTEC and the SYSQUEST
under DOS, but more space for LINUX would not be too bad also.
But if I put the ADAPTEC board into the PC and connect the SYQUEST, the
system hung if in booting sequence for LINUX you can read:
SCSI host detected or so.
The LED on the ADAPTEC board in on at this moment.
Problems on my system:
I cannot run LINUX from the ATBUS harddisk yet (problems with doinstall, with
the new bootdisk I get a cold reset with memory test, or system stops with
a general protection failure, the different errors occured, after I had chosen
to install whole base system or base and X 11.
Are there running systems from the IDE-harddisk with an extra ADAPTEC ?
Probably another problem on my system: A ARTISOFT (Lantastic)
Ethernet-Adapter is plugged in also. (IRQ 10, ADAPTEC is on default (IRQ 11)
