Subject: stupid questions ??

I have a couple of questions (probably in the FAQ but i didn't find it)

        1) What is the latest version of the Xserver?

I've been running Linux for a couple of weeks now an I got some
of the sources on different sites ( gwm, xconq, ...) and I
get trouble when compiling. (libX.xx.x.2 is missing)
Ok, I think I dont have the latest Xlibs, so I get the latest SLS
and put it on the machine and... same thing again.

Am I wrong or are the Xlibs, on the SLS release old ???

        2) What is happening whith SLIP support ?

At my job I run a Sun in a network, and I would just love to
be able to sit at home and connect to my Sun as a part of the
        net. I've read about UUCP and KA9Q but I don't think that's
gonna do the job for me (correct me if I'm wrong)

Could someone please Email me the answers to this, and make
        me a very happy Linuxer?
