AST is indeed a manufacturer. Last I checked, though, multi-port
serial boards on the ISA bus were horrendously overpriced (like
US$1000 for an 8-port board from DigiBoard, as compared to $30 for a
2-port board). Is there *any* manufacturer of densely-populated
serial boards in the sub-$25/port range? One which would suit the
needs of Linux users?
