hum,.. well currently i'm on linux 0.99up1 (unofficial patchlevel 1
(just inodes increased)) and using gcc 2.3.2, but i'm starting diku
with 'nohup ./dmserver &' as root (not tried ordinary user) and having
*excepitional* uptime from it,.. previously under 0.96pl6 the mud
would die and kill the swapper but not now. I dunno about getting inetd
to bring up diku as to my train of thought it would start up a new mud
everytime someone would call port 4000, definitely *NOT* what you want
on a different note, and probably mor suited to rec.games.lpmud, I heard
that lpmud had been ported, but after compiling the driver, I find that
there is no game data included, so having downloaded the lars and discworld,
I find that it cannot use 'master.c' for the lpc code,... now this is only a
stab in the dark, but does lpmud have to have more than 15 chars in a
filename? ie am I going to have to generate an extfs partition to
accomodate it?
