The samething happened to me. My system was i386sx16 with 2mb ram. I
allocated 4096 for swap and went to install exactly as you did. The
installation proceeded as yours and stood there for a long time with
the HD lights going on and off. At one time I was so frustrated that I
left it running for about an hour. I didn't want to restart it all
again. I left for the mall and when I came back it had installed
itself. I guess it took SEVERAL minutes to install. It might be due to
the speed of my HD or the limited memory or Something. Anyway I have
since wiped it off my HD. I'm waiting till I get a good system with
more disk space and at-least 8mb ram to run Linux. I love it, but I
guess I have to give it what it like to run comfortably.

MW> tnx to anyone who takes the time to help me.
Let me know of your successes. Perhaps, there might be a way around it
and I could use it too. Good Luck!
