Hallo,
I have two problems using 0.98pl6.

1) The system boots well, but my keyboard is locked!!!
I found out that pressing several keys (e.g. NumLock) during boot or
selecting the video mode myself solves this problem. (yes, I tried 'lilo.7')
I never saw such strange behaviour with older versions - help please!

2) heavy load(?) causes my system to hang, so I have to use the reset-button ...
This happens sometimes when starting two large compiler jobs in xterms!
This hanging can be reproduced starting 6 instances of ghostview to view the
same file - even starting them one after each other (no, there is enough
swap-space ...) - I know it's silly, but other combinations work as well!

I think this might be a problem of too many open files ... can someone help or
simply try it and report the results?

BTW the tcpip patches form sunsite (tcpip0.98pl6.p1 - tcpip0.98pl6.p6) work fine for
me! (I use loopback-mode only) There are no reboots anymore!

My configuration:
486DX 33MHz, 8MB RAM
210MB Maxtor ATBus HD
Tseng ET4000 Card
Linux 0.98pl6 with tcpip patches + Lilo.7
Xfree861.1
gcc2.2.2d7 + jumptable 4.1

If you answer via EMail, I'll post a summary - waiting for any help ...

Bye
 Thilo
