I was trying to make sunsite a more pleasant place (by
getting rid of old stuff and moving things, finally,
out of Incoming) when I came across a couple of things
that I hope people could help me with,

1) are the patches to make Linux work with more than 16 mb
still needed? Did this ever make it into the main distribution?
They are by Rik Faith and are against 97p1.

2)the patch to invalidate the flppy track buffer after
a disk has been eject (against .98p1)

3)Do the linux-standards committee findings (as sparse as
they are) have any relevance? All there really is a standard
for packaging Linux and for the layout of the filesystem.
(this is all left over from Alan's (abc) tenure; I have no
idea what the findings of the standards committee was, if any)

this should be a good start to cleaning out some cruft.
