Subject: aXe-3.0.1 now working; thanks
Date: 31 Aug 1992 04:56:01 GMT

With help from a numbe of you out there (esp., Robert & Jim), I managed
to get aXe-3.0.1 running under 0.96, gcc-2.2.2. I do have occasional core
dump on exit. Anyone else have that problem?

If you want to try this, you need scandir.c and alphasort.c, both available
pd from
emx.cc.utexas.edu (128.83.186.11)
    Location: /pub/mnt/source/services/wais-8-b4/lib

Then, they need to be twiddled with (suggestions by Rob Hooft):

remove the line : #include "pdftw.h"
(or get the file, same source),
add: #include <dirent.h>

and compile with the -DUSG flag. (This is probably redundant, but it worked).

If you can fix the core dump, plese let me know.
