Subject: Installing GCC 2.2.2d

I'm having some problems installing GCC 2.2.2d. I think I have all of
the required tar.Z's. I have 2.2.2d*, binutils.tar.Z, shlib.tar.Z,
and 0.97pl1inc.tar.Z The install script complains about not finding
a few directories and/or the files in them. I think the directories
it wants are */linux/asm or something similar. Do I need the kernel
sources to install 2.2.2d? Thanks in advance.
