Sorry, first time I've seen the question...
You create the bus mouse device by doing this
as root:
mknod /dev/bm c 10 0
Then, in your Xconfig file, set up the mouse as "busmouse" on
"/dev/bm".
Really, the filename doesn't matter (I've got mine on /dev/mouse),
but they must both be the same. /dev/bm seems to be the standard now.

It should be: if your mouse works with the driver, and if I haven't
forgotten anything, that should put you in business.
