Subject: domainized headers, smart-host on uucp-only elm system?
Date: 30 Aug 1992 15:07:27 GMT

I'm running elm2.3pl11 and smail2.5 on a Linux (PD unix)
system at home and have a few questions...

        1. My system is uucp-only, but is registered in
the .US domain, so I want my mail to go
out with domainized (rather than bang)
                headers...how ?

Is this a compilation option in elm ?
In smail ? In both and they have to be
                the same ?

        2. Smail2.5 works just fine with a pathalias
                database in bang-path mode, but I don't
need any database at all since I can kick
my stuff to a smart-host and let them
deal with the MX records and uucp maps.

How can I set up smail2.5 to define a
smart-host that all mail gets kicked to
if there's no explicit pathalias entry
for the remote system. Again, I need to
                have domainized headers...

Lastly, I've been unable to get smail3.1.26 to compile,
so that's not an option at this time. However, if the
above is possible in smail3.1.26 (and not in smail2.5),
let me know and maybe I'll stomp on gcc a bit more :-)

Thanks, any help is appreciated...
