Yes, the MS-DOS FS has this property. MS-DOS does not know about links and
determining the link count of a directory on the fly can be pretty expensive,
because one has to scan the entire directory for subdirectories.

I'll add this for the next MS-DOS FS release - maybe with an option to turn
it off if it slows the system too much.
