Hi linuxers,
I got the 0.97.1 root image today, and there are still some unresolved
questions I have relating to mount -t msdos on it. I realize that I
wasn't able to do it in 0.97. It seems to work all right (at least I
can read a 1.44 msdos filesystem) but when I do the mount -t msdos /dev/fd1H1440
/mnt, I get a "no bmap support." Exactly what does this mean?
Secondly, when i booted up 0.97.1 today to check the new root image out, I
got a "floppy: unexpected interrupt" during the initial check for
devices that linux does. It didn't seem to affect anything, but I should
mention it anyway.
Thirdly, it seems that when I (mistakenly :-) send the output of compress
to stdout, from then on (in that particular virtual tty) the character set
is *permanently* changed. Instead of seeing normal characters when I
type, or when the system types, I get all upper 128 PC ascii characters
instead. If I login to the other virtual tty's, their character display
is unaffected. The problem isn't solved by sync;logout and then a relogin
either. This seems really strange.
