Linux is an OS for real hackers, the kernel source is the documentation...

Actually the funny thing is, it usually takes me less time to figure out
whats going on from relatively undocumented source than man pages. If I
had to read the man pages for the Linux kernel I'd probably still have
no idea whats really going on.
