Is anyone else having a problem with the DOS filesystem deleting files
out of the blue?
I've been backing up my system by creating a compressed tar file and
copying it over to my DOS partition (32 megs) and then copying that file over
to a file server.
Well, more than once, when I have used that file to restore files using
a normal "zcat" command, the file disappears, just as if it was deleted.
CHKDSK shows no problems with the DOS partition.
The only other thing I can think of it some bug with compress that makes
it delete files after uncompressing them no matter what command you're running.
But I seriously doubt this is the case.
