Problem: I'm a user and try to become root after typing the root password su
fails, and I'm still the same user. From being root # su <user> works fine.

# su
Passwd:
su: (null): not found.
# ls -l /bin/su
-rwsr-xr-- 1 root users 1972 Jun 29 06:21 /bin/su

Problem: I'm a user and make fails (there's a Makefile in the directory). If
I am root, make works.

# make
(null): setuid: Not owner. Stop.
# ls -l /usr/bin/make
-rwxr-xr-x 1 bin bin 138114 Aug 30 1991 /usr/bin/make

After changing make's rights:

# make
(null): setgid: Not owner. Stop.
# ls -l /usr/bin/make
-rwsr-sr-x 1 root root 138114 Aug 30 1991 /usr/bin/make

Seems that I messed up ID's. I've tried several things.

Bug: groff-1.05a (with man1.1 and bsdman)

# man fopen
Formatting page, please wait...
d9f2 fxxx not implemented
/usr/bin/groff: gtroff: Signal 4

Bug: man1.1 leaves the rights -rw-rw-rw- in cat? dirs,
                                      ^!!!
I would prefer: -rw-r?-r--

Alfred.
