Hi,
I have an Everex Vewpoint Premium. It works fine with X windows in
800x600 mode with:
    "800x600" 50 800 856 976 1040 600 637 643 666
does anyone have any ideas on how Xconfig would look for 1024x768 mode.
I know it can work because I have 1024x768 set up for MS windows 3.1.

Thanks,
Larry

I'm using the getty that comes with the mcc-interim distribution. Last night,
I had a friend dial in - worked like a charm!

Important: to prevent getty and the modem talking to each other, tell the
modem to shut up (ATE0Q1, I think, or is it ATE1Q0?). Otherwise, you get
the modem echoing stuff back to getty, ad nauseum. :(

Under 0.96c, it looks something like "getty 2400 ttys0", depending on
your serial port. It also works under 0.97. :)

Hi, I just downloaded minicom and it looks great! There is just one problem. The cursor keys don't work properly. Not only on the host machine, they won't work on the minicom menus. I've noticed that it does work from the normal console but not from X windows. Is this a problem with /etc/termcap? Does anyone know how th fix this? Thanks, Larry (butler@cs.tulane.edu)

That's wierd; I just applied patch 1 and had no problem whatsoever compiling with plain 2.2.2. Got the same warnings I got before when I compiled 0.97.
