From: erc@unislc.uucp (Ed Carp) Subject: Does SCSI work in 0.97? Date: 7 Aug 1992 07:38:20 GMT
I have a friend that has this 486/33 lying around [:)], and I've convinced
him he really needs to put linux on it. :) Only problem - I'll be
sending him the mcc-interim release (0.96c), and he has a SCSI drive (Adaptec
1542 controller).
Will 0.96c and/or 0.97 work with his Adaptec? I'd hate to ship him something
that won't work (he has Microport on it right now, but it's an old version
that won't support VGA/SVGA).
He'd also like to run X - what's the latest working version?
