I was using 'shareware' a bit too loosely, although the original
shareware concept included freeware in some cases. I am well aware
of what copyleft means, having developped copylefted software on top
of Epoch (a version of GUN Emacs).

It is a product sold by Quarterdeck Office Systems (to which I have no
affiliation) which, along with some appropriate networking software, turns
DOS into an X-server with scalable fonts.
