Read that quote - "The codes used for __PBOOT__ are with the most
significant [byte] first." Then, go back to where you read that, and
read up a paragraph or two, where it qutie plainly states what Jean
recently said.

pboot is a program available on tsx-11, that runs under DOS, that
allows you to cahnge the root device of an image. It does things
backwards of how you would do it when editing manually.

What Jean said is basically the same as what is in my install notes -
you just interpreted what he said correctly.
