Well, I have used the msdos fs for transferring files between a dos partition
and linux, and thus far I have not experienced any problems with data loss or
the like.. Yes, it is much more convinient to mount a dos fs than to use mtools.
Of course, I cant promise that my dos partition won't dissappear in a cloud
of random bits... ;-)
