Subject: Logitech Bus Mouse & Kernel 0.97

I just got the new 0.97 boot disk, nice work Linus!

During boot, it says "Bus mouse detected and installed." This is good.
Now, I want to use selection-1.3 and it can't open /dev/mouse:
  ms_init: /dev/mouse: Device or resource busy
Ok, now I'm not complaining (heck, I'm excited, this is the first time
linux has recognized my mouse at all) but what does it expect? BTW:
/dev/mouse is a ln -s /dev/mouse -> /dev/ttys1 (COM2: which is where the
jumper on my Logitech BusMouse Card is set to.) Now, my actual question:
What services are provided by the kernel to access the mouse and how do you
use them? And has anyone patched selection to work with the 0.97 kernel
and a Logitech BusMouse? Any and all responses will be deeply appreciated,
I can't stand not being able to cut and paste like in X at work and
obviously (!mouse == !X) && (!mouse == !selection).

Thanks for your help and many, many thanks to Linus for this wonderful
system!! I have yet to express my gratitude so: THANK YOU!!!

Jon
